The Professor and the Gelding had a reasonable day at Moonee Valley last week with two winners and the successful Professor’s Parlay. They’ll be looking to improve on that today at Caulfield where the track is currently rated a Good 4 but could be downgraded if there is rain during the meeting. The rail is out 9 metres for the entire circuit.

The Spring Carnival has its first major race of the Spring Carnival with the running of the Caulfield Cup today. The track is currently rated a Heavy 8 with the rail out 6 metres for the entire circuit. The Everest is also being run at Randwick.
