8 August 2010 166.1 –The Panel talk about the AFL using technology for deciding whether a goal is kicked or not. Stan says maybe the umpires need regular checks on their eye sight as over a period of time mistakes can affect the outcome of games. Marie Baker makes a return to the show with her US report and says human error is part of sport so why sweat over mistakes made by referees. She believes Brett Fravre is a drama queen who needs his own annual reality “decision” show and doesn’t think Shaq changing NBA teams again will affect his legacy. She also feels Tiger Woods probably won’t get back to the top in golf and that A-Rod’s 600th homer as the youngest person ever to reach that mark, may not be enough to get him into MLB’s Hall of Fame. The Gelding provides the answers to Saturday’s racing at both Flemington and Randwick. He says it was a tough day with many long priced horses saluting and elects not to award the S-Hit ride of the day to the jockey of Bonindi but does say her ride “lacked imagination”. No luck again for Queen Asa this week although she did run fourth so getting closer to a placing. He tells Travis that he has no plans to run it in the Spring Carnival. The Professor looks at the farcical situation with the Commonwealth Games venues in Delhi being incomplete with only 60 days until the start of the events. Daniel believes the Games organizing committee should adopt the Andrew Demetriou line “Everything is fine….there is no problem.” A National Baseball League will finally return to Australia in November with 6 team competing. Daniel is surprised that Stan can remember back to baseball in the late 1920’s.

Sydney Colt's Mail For Randwick
Great to catch up with the Professor during the week over a meal and a red or three! Unfortunately the Gelding was restricted to the stable. Next time old mate.
Race 1 n5 HIDDEN WONDER Comes in nicely based on ratings and loves the mile trip. Will be on the pace and will look the winner in the straight
Race 2 n3 DAL DAL No prize for picking this neddy as every man and his dog has jumped on. Gai has thrown the blinkers on and the pro punters took the early price bet by the corporate bookies
Race 6 n2 DECISION TIME The best horse in the race without question! Trialled brilliantly and is a super e/w bet. If this race was 200m longer I would declare this neddy.
Race 8 n 10 SUPERNOVA and n12 STORM KITE Finish the day with a few dollars e/w both of these. Our ratings man says they are the best placed and their current prices are very inviting
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost
Sydney Colt's Mail For Rosehill 31 July
Happy birthday tomorrow to all those beautiful nags who filled our pockets with lobster purchasing cash over the past 12 months! A very wet track at Rosehill means it is a day for punt drunks and Sydney Colt groupies.
Race 1 n2 AFRICAN PRINCE Will love the ‘heavy 10’ track and the pull in the weights
Race 2 n3 BACK ON TOP A pro punter convinced me to make this the ‘banker’ bet of the day. This neddy eats mud for breakfast and is very fit and in form.
Race 4 n1 MAGIC MODEL Pro punters in the know jumped all over the corporate bookies when early prices were released. I am told it has trialled outstandingly. At the time of writing this post the bookies are still betting a good e/w price (it will not stay that way!).
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Sydney Colt's Mail For Rosehill 17 July
We have gained some good mail for today’s races. Nothing fancy about the prices of the 3 tips but I expect a profitable day. If you bet with the corporate bookies and not the thieving local tote you will win more.
Race 1 n5 CROSSBOW Won a ‘no race’ where it ran great sectionals. Only has to match that effort to win this with ease. Know a pro punter who got some good oil direct from Gai’s stable on this neddy.
Race 4 n2 FUSAKEO Another from Gai’s stable. Nash will control the pace of this race up front. Well suited being back 200m from its last start 2nd to a promising horse.
Race 5 n6 ATOMIC FORCE Extremely well placed here because (a) lack of pace (b) weight drop and (c) dryer track = 3 good reasons to have a small flutter.
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Sydney Colt's Mail For Randwick 10 July
Hope you enjoyed the feeding frenzy last week with 3 winners from 4 tips. Better value this week. Cannot promise fluent prose but can assure you of a likely winning day if you bet astutely on the mail today.
R1 n3 Beg This one steps up to 1400m which is a huge plus.
R2 n1 OFFHANDED Bet of the day! Small field which unfortunately robs us of a price. I am told the barrier trial sectionals were outstanding. Jump aboard if you love winning.
Race 4 n6 DEE BEE NINE e/w Great e/w chance from Gai’s stable. Beaten in fast sectionals and down in weight. The pro punters have backed this already at $11 and $9. I had a small slice at $10 e/w
Race 5 n4 KICK N CHASE e/w Last start winner who comes in very well at the weights
R6 n8 ADMIRALS HONOUR e/w Bookies are betting double figures but they may have missed the fact this neddy has been the subject of ‘hit’ rides at its past 2 runs. Value!
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Sportzfan Radio 161.2
4 July 2010 161.2 -Dr Leslie’s CSA gets a run with the approval of listeners. The Sydney Colt texts that the estimated first prize in the Sports World Series of Poker is $9 million. The ‘F’ word talks World Cup quarter finals and Daniel says the Socceroos would win a “make believe” World Cup 4-0. The Panel query who will welcome the Socceroos back into Australia seeing Kevin Rudd has been sacked, but then decide hardly any of them live here anyway. The ‘F’ word also ponders the semi finals and thinks it will be a Germany v Netherlands final, He wants Marcelo Bielsa as the next Socceroos coach. Dalligan talks State of Origin 3 and thinks the NSW team can win 16-14 and hopes they can take inspiration from the example of the Socceroos bouncing back after their defeat by Germany. He also calls the Karmichael Hunt experiment a debacle. The Sports Geek explains his NRL Sports Social Media Index and says the NRL are about 7 to 8 months behind the AFL in social media as 3 teams aren’t even on twitter or facebook. He is currently advising the Southern Football League on social media policy.

4 July 2010 161.1 – Daniel wonders whether Gambo feels unsettled having been moved from panel operator after the Professor’s return from Sydney. Daniel also ponders the NBA feeding frenzy with free agents being signed for ridiculous figures including draft bust Darko Milicic getting a $20 million contract when everyone thought he should retire. The Panel considers throwing themselves into the free agency market for a fat contract. Gambo talks about the ‘mono cock’ in formula one racing. Dan Butterly talks basketball with the Knicks potentially going after Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson and Tony Parker. He says the Knicks fan base want LeBron, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade and won’t be satisfied with anything less. The Gelding talks racing and takes the credit as he and the Sydney Colt combined for 4 winners and 4 placings from 8 selections. Daniel and the Professor discuss the Boomers v ‘Argentina”. Daniel nodded off during the game and wonders whether Brett Brown’s team got anything out of playing a non-representative team of rookies. The Professor raises his idea of an NBL draft again as a means of getting publicity for the League.
Sydney Colt's Mail For 3 July 2010
Plenty of mail around from 2 pro punters and man who provides a ratings and pricing service for 2 rails bookies. Not much value but winners seemed assured. Last week we had 1 win from 2 selections with Huckelberry Friend a scratching (I’m told Gelding apparently said on the radio show it ran last – maybe he was given that bum steer by his friend Bendigo Betty)
Race 2 n7 Dal Dal Won 1 from 1 for Gai and I’m told the stable cash is going on this one.
Race 3 n6 Skyerush Last start winner who will get a suck run from barrier 1
Race 5 n1 Tripple Elegance Chris Waller has this neddy flying with wins at its past 2 starts
Race 7 n6 Electric Dreams Great run 1st up from spell when wide all way for 4th behind superstars Loce Conquers All and Hay List. This is a significantly weaker race.
Moeny lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Sydney Colt's Mail For Randwick Sat 26 June
If the track gets no rain before they race tomorrow we can punt with a degree of confidence.
Race 4 n 5 Hidden Wonder e/w The pro punters stepped into this one early and it is now a $4.0 fav. Backed e/w it is a bet to nothing. Third up from spell and barrier 2 will see it get the suck run. “Thriving” I’m told!
Race 5 n2 Brasileira Topical tip. Second up and they tell me Snowden has this cherry ripe. Pros believe it to be the bet of the program on ratings.
Race 6 n 10 Huckelberry Friend e/w Word is that this neddy is improving on the track after it’s last start win, so the other should watch out!
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Gelding's tips for 26 June 2010
With the end of the financial year at hand, the Gelding is looking to end it on a winning note. This may be difficult as the weather is threatening with the cold and wet not helping predictions.
A big thanks to the Sydney Colt for his vote of confidence during the week.
Flemington

Race 6 Horse 15 – Doubtful Jack (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)
