A bit better day on the punt last week for the Professor and the Gelding with a 50% win rate. They’ll look to improve on that today at Caulfield where the track is rated a Good 4 and the rail is out 6 metres for the entire circuit.

Our tipsters had a day they would rather forget last week at Caulfield. So many good horses failing to run to form and expectations. Today is another day though so the Professor and the Gelding are back in the thick of it after carefully studying today’s form.

Luke came through the Penrith junior pathway and played over 350 games of rugby league for the Penrith Panthers, NSW State of Origin, Australian Kangaroos and finished his career with the Cronulla Sharks. He tasted success playing in premiership teams with both the Panthers and Sharks. He now uses his knowledge of the game in commentary for the ABC.

He spoke with Paul Dalligan about his life in rugby league.

The panel discusses the suggestion of moving the start of the new AFLW season to late August 2022 and the Professor asks if independent grounds keepers should prepare test cricket pitches given the ‘road’ that was used for the first test between Pakistan and Australia.
