Gelding’s tips for Caulfied 12 February 2011

The Gelding’s attention returns to his home track of Caulfield today with winners seemingly difficult to pick.  However, there could be some value with these selections.

As always the bets are on an each way and all up basis.

Caulfield

Race 4 Horse 1 – Sepoy
Race 7 Horse 4 – Sportzfan Radio’s own Typhoon Tracey (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 8 Horse 2 – Reward for Effort
Race 9 Horse 1 – Bead It (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

You can hear the Gelding talk racing and review the results with the Professor on Sportzfan Radio every Sunday at 12.30pm on 88.3 Southern FM.

Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt’s Randwick Mail For Tomorrow

Forget all the formalities and fancy words this week. There are 2 fair dinkum good things tomorrow and our only bet is an ALL UP FIXED ODDS race 1 number 1 SATIN SHOES into race 5 number 1 MORE JOYOUS. I just took $2.65 the all up and it is like a licence to print money. These 2 have trialled brilliantly, are both incredibly weighted based on ratings and I’m told they both look superb. Follow me.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 5 February 2011

With Caulfield almost underwater after the heavy overnight rains, understandably the races have been called off.

However, there is still a great race meeting at Rosehill today and the Gelding will defer to the Sydney Colt’s tips which you will see below on this webpage.

Mindful of needing to tip one for the Ladies at the Tennis Club though, he can’t go past Race 6 Horse 8 ‘Sportzfan Radio’s own’ Hot Danish.

You can hear the Gelding and the Professor discuss all the racing news on Sportzfan Radio every Sunday at 12.30pm.  Tune in to 88.3 Southern FM.

Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 5 February

I would not want to be a bookie tomorrow as we can spot winners aplenty!

Race 1 n1 HELMET Got a call from a mole in the Snowden camp and told to get some cash off this neddy. I’m on!

Race 2 n4 SOMEPIN ANYPIN Did you see this win its last start? If you did, there is nothing more to say. If you didn’t, then watch the video and get to your ATM

Race 3 n3 VIVA LAS The mail says it won last start when it still had improvement. Won’t have to improve at all to beat these.

Race 4 n1 IRONSTEIN Last chance for this one! Our ratings man says it is great value.

Race 6 n8 HOT DANISH Won 7 of 8 first up!! That is enough to bet up on one of our fav gals.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio #186.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!23 January 2011 186.1 – The Panel starts off by talking to Daniel Eade about the Charity Baskets match to be held at MSAC on 30 January 2011 at midday. The event will be covered by Sportzfan Radio with a live broadcast on 88.3 Southern FM. The former players including Gaze, Copeland, Anstey… all say they are still able to match it on a basketball court. Sportzfan Stan takes a look at the recent drug controversy involving Albert Contador and Lance Armstrong.  The Panel then chat with radio personality and former Canterbury Bulldogs premiership player Graeme Hughes who discusses his recently published book “Dogs at War”.  The Gelding reviews the race results from both Flemington and Rosehill where both the Gelding and the Sydney Colt were successful…much to the joy of the ladies at the Tennis club.  Stan adds that his uncle Albert owned a horse El Galea and he learned from a very early age that if you wanted to know whether a horse was going to win or not you needed to ask the trainer first and then the jockey.  There is also a discussion of the NFL selling tickets outside the stadium and counting those attendees as part of the game’s crowd.  Stan says it is a rot and the NFL should be sacked.  The Panel also discuss the NFL Divisional Championships in the NFC – Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears and in the AFC – New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers.  The Panel is split as to who will win the Green Bay game but agree that the Steelers will be too strong.  Paul thinks the Packers defence is the least intimidating of the teams remaining.  Dr Leslie’s CSA makes a welcome return and Lanard Copeland comes on to talk about the Charity Baskets basketball match to be played at MSAC next Sunday with all proceeds going to Queensland flood relief.

Sydney Colt’s mail for Rosehill 22 January

We won plenty last Saturday with the mail being spot on. The tips today are all easily found in the market but you can be assured the Sydney Colt’s mail comes from those who will be betting 5 figure amounts on each of these.

Race 1 n1 IRONSTEIN Nothing went right last and the run has to be forgiven. Is simply better than this lot.

Race 2 n1 INTENCION Probably the bet of the day. Was the only horse all day to make up ground out wide. Make this the anchor bet.

Race 6 n5 ELECTRIC DREAMS The mail says this neddy needed the run last start and has improved a ton on the track since.

Race 7 n6 SIKKA Not a fav horse of mine but the pro punters tell me they will be backing it strongly based on ratings and sectional times.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio #185.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!16 January 2011 185.1 – The Professor, Daniel, the Gambler and Sportzfan Stan are back for 2011, bigger and better than ever. There is some discussion to start the show about Sportzfan Radio’s Christmas party and the Gelding now being a greyhound expert as well. They also discuss the first radio broadcast of an ABL game in Victoria from the previous evening by Southern FM.  The Panel then discuss Stan’s call for the sacking of the AFL’s Andrew Demetriou over the decision of choosing Virgin Blue over Qantas as the airline transporting the teams.  Dan Butterly talks US sport including the NFL playoffs and selects New England to beat the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons over the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears over the Seattle Seahawks.  Dan also talks about some of the coaching changes at NFL teams who haven’t made the playoffs.  He wraps up the College football season and says it will be interesting to see what the NCAA do about the Cam Newton situation and possible rule infractions as it could be that Auburn may not hold the national championship they won.  He is still all for a BCS playoff series whether it be an 8 or 12 team series and would like to see that in place sooner rather than later.  The Gelding talks racing from Flemington and discusses the winners and losers in racing from the weekend’s meetings.  The Panel then look at the Australian cricket team, the chairman of selectors, the CEO and the coach.  Stan calls for an inquiry to be headed by Ric Charlesworth.  Daniel says it’s good that Stan is finally giving someone a job given that he has sacked so many over the last few months.  Stan says Tim Nielsen’s record as a coach on a win/loss basis is terrible and he should be sacked.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For 15 January

There is not much value about today’s mail horses on wet ground but I have put my money where my mouth is. All 3 are favs but I am extremely confident we can turn a profit betting with the corporate bookies. Join me.

Race 3 n1 SEA LORD ($1.7) Very short but looks the anchor bet all over Aust today. Should stroll in!

Race 5 n4 KING LIONHEART ($3.4) I am told this neddy is a standout based on ratings. Will race on the pace which has been an advantage here lately

GOLD COAST Race 7 n9 KARUTA QUEEN ($3.4) Sydney Colt’s groupies already know about this neddy as I highlighted it recently as a horse to follow in 2011. Has always been set for this race and looks better than these. Should go on to be a genuine Golden Slipper hope!

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
