After a win and three near misses on Saturday, the Professor and the Gelding have decided on a quick turnaround and are up and about for today’s Caulfield Australia Day race meeting.

The Professor and the Gelding had mixed fortunes last week. The Professor with a winner and the Professor’s Parlay saluting whilst for the Gelding it was some near misses. Both will be trying to do better today to round out the punting year at Caulfield. You can see them talk about today’s tips here.

The Professor and the Gelding weren’t too far off the mark last week with a modest return for their four selections. They are looking to improve on that today for the pre-Christmas Flemington meeting. The track is currently rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position.

The Professor and the Gelding had a reasonable outing at Oaks Day with two winners and a third from four selections. They are looking to do better today. The track is rated a Good 4 with the rail out 7 metres for the entire circuit.

Professor’s red hotties for Caulfield races on 5 January 2019

After a fast start at Flemington on New Year’s Day, the wheels fell off with the last three selections. As the Gelding would say ‘that’s racing’. Today’s race meeting at Caulfield gives the Professor the chance of redemption. The track at present is a good 4 but that may change if the anticipated rains come. The rail is in the true position.
