17 April 2011 198.1 – Sportzfan Stan leads off the show suggesting that the Australian Cricket Board should be sacked and appoint an independent Board with no parochial interests to improve cricket in Australia. Dan Butterly returns to the show to talk US sport including college basketball finals. He previews the NBA finals and thinks it is out of Chicago and Miami in the East and the Lakers are the team to beat in the West. In NHL action he feels the Canucks from the West and the Capitals from the East look good to advance to the Stanley Cup final. Dan reviews the first weeks of competition in MLB and says it is early days yet but the Mariners are looking at another 100 loss season. The Mets could also be a 100 loss team. Jackie Robinson is remembered on the 64th anniversary of him breaking the colour bar in major league baseball. The Professor queries whether Brett Favre will be back for a shortened NFL season. The Gelding reviews the racing at Flemington and Randwick with a much better performance this week on the punt. The Sydney Colt was not quite as successful.

Sportzfan Radio #197.1
10 April 2011 197.1 – Golf returns to the show with Mordiboy (aka Fatman Blues) talking the US Masters in Augusta and how well the Australian golfers are doing. Mordiboy had picked Lee Westwood to win, however he is too far back now. Daniel queries why the Gelding’s segment starts with the James Bond theme. The Professor says it is because Gelding is an ‘International Man of Mystery’. The Gelding reviews the days racing results at Caulfield and Randwick. After being ‘in form’ in recent weeks, he had a bad day and awards three S-Hit rides. He again advises Daniel that ‘You can’t eat odds’. Dr Leslie’s CSA comes along to clean up after the racing segment. Mark Fiorenti comes on to talk soccer and says although Melbourne Victory has a mathematical chance of making the next round of the Asian Champions League…it is unrealistic. Roy Keane has been linked to the Victory coaching position but Mark doubts his coaching credentials. The Gelding asks if the money would be better spent on a marquee player rather than a coach.
Sydney Colt’s Doncaster Day Mail
It will be a very wet track at Royal Randwick today. We have been the victim of some poor riding this carnival but hopefully the punt drunk’s goddess will come to the rescue today.
Race 3 n4 STREAMA Has been the subject of some pre post big bets by a pro punter mate of mine. He says it was a cert on a dry track and he is gambling on it handling the wet.
Race 4 n9 BIG STORM I have strong mail to say this has improved heaps on the track and the wet is a plus.
Race 5 n8 GALIZANI Loves the wet and has a light weight. I’m on this neddy pre post as strong track support is expected.
Race 6 n7 FIBRILLATION E/W The 2 favs will be very hard to beat on many form lines but Fibrillation is a dead set duck. The more rain that falls the more I’ll put on this neddy each way.
I’ll have my fingers crossed for our fav ladies Gai Waterhouse and MORE JOYOUS in the Doncaster. It is hard to back her with the big weight in the wet but I will cheer loudly for her. Go girl!
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Gedling’s tips for 16 April 2011
The Gelding’s attention is firmly on Flemington today with winners being very difficult to select. However, always up for the test, here are some ‘mouth watering’ selections.
As always the bets are on an each way and all up basis.
Flemington
Race 3 Horse 1 – Stirling Grove
Race 4 Horse 2 – Stole
Race 6 Horse 9 – Akzar
Race 7 Horse 5 – Flat Chat (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 8 Horse 1 – Baranagaroo (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt’s Derby Day Mail
Top hat and tails day at Royal Randwick today. Hoping to enjoy lobster and champers in the members stand after collecting on a few of our mail horses.
Race 1 n5 CONROY’S GAP Lacks the experience of most however this neddy ran super sectionals in its trial.
Race 2 n3 DIVORCES My only worry is the barrier in a race that seems to lack true pace. Our ratings man tells me this is the best of the ratings today and we cannot ignore that great advice.
Race 7 n1 JIMMY CHOUX How are they going to beat this in the Derby? Well our pro punter friend says we should all load up on it. He says until now there has not been a Derby horse with a sprinting finish since Kingston Town. He believes JIMMY CHOUX will change that.
Race 8 n1 GRACEFUL ANNA Looms as great each way value if you ignore its last run when it pulled up poorly. I am told by a trackman that it has grown a leg since and it certainly has class on the opposition.
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Gelding’s tips for 9 April 2011

Sportzfan Radio #196.1
3 April 2011 196.1 – The Panel discuss Daniel’s football injury and Sportzfan Stan has another shot at Andrew Demetriou, this time over head high injuries and calling for players to be prevented from launching themselves into packs and from jumping in the air to make contact. The question is posed ‘Will Melbourne Rebels or Gold Coast Suns have the better season?’…the Panel unanimously vote Rebels and have a discussion on the Super 15 competition. Paul Dalligan says the Suns were a disgrace against Carlton. The Gelding discusses his and the Sydney Colt’s selections for yesterday’s races at Moonee Valley and Rosehill. Whilst not as effective as in recent weeks, the two experts managed to pick a couple of winners and places. He awards an S-Hit ride for Craig Williams ride on Brazilian Pulse. There is some discussion about Daniel Eade’s failure to attend production meetings at the Great Western Hotel. Daniel is clearly struggling on pain killers with his references to people wearing short sleeved shirts and ties, Sipowicz & Homer Simpson.
Sportzfan Radio #195.1
27 March 2011 195.1 – The Panel comprising the Professor, the Gelding, Daniel Eade, Mark Fiorenti and Sportzfan Stan talk March Madness. Sportzfan Stan poses the question whether future AFL finals should comprise 8, 9 or 10 teams. Dan Butterly is back on the show talking US sport specifically College hoops and assesses the chances of the last eight in the NCAA tournament. Dan also talks Knicks basketball and how they and the Denver Nuggets have fared since the Carmelo Anthony trade. Major League Baseball is just around the corner and Dan talks about how good Alex Rodriguez has been 1998. The Gelding talks Caulfield and Morphetville racing and has extended his streak of picking placed horses to 10. Paul Gamble calls in to discuss the fortunes of Danish Rock.
Sydney Colt’s Golden Slipper Day Mail
Still a little miffed after our e/w special and only bet ran 4th last week. Confidence remains high and some great bets are on offer ar Rosehill.
Race 1 n2 DO YOU THINK Would have had it among my numbers if it had made the Slipper field! This is way easier.
Race 2 n1 RETRIEVE Plenty of knockers for this fellow but it drops a ton in grade and seems the best bet of the day with one of the pro punters who feed us information.
Race 7 n2 SMART MISSILE What a win last start when he dropped SEPOY Has to be backed.
Race 8 n 12 BASE The trackman tells me this neddy looks a perfect picture. Its Melb form is first rate.
Race 9 n3 ATOMIC FORCE This one has improved heaps with the blinkers being added.
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Race 5 Horse 7 – Launay (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 6 Horse 1 – Pinwheel
