Professor’s red hot tips for Flemington and Warwick Farm races on 22 December 2018

After a few winners and placings last week, the Professor is looking to improve on that form today. The Flemington course is currently rated as a slow 5 and with more rain the track could deteriorate. The Warwick Farm track is a heavy 8 but the weather there is predicted to be fine.

Also the last chance for the ladies at the Tennis club to make money for their Christmas party!

Don’t forget to back the tips each way.

Flemington

Race 2 Horse 5 – Hawkshot (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 5 Horse 13 – Cincinnati Red
Race 6 Horse 6 – Order of Command
Race 7 Horse 4 – Haunted
Race 8 Horse 11 – Creedence (also for the ladies at the tennis club)

Warwick Farm

Race 6 Horse 8 – The Art of the Bar (as tipped by the Sydney Colt)
Race 7 Horse 1 – Pecans
Race 8 Horse 12 – Charretera

Good luck and good punting!

The Professor

Dalligan’s Dandies for 24 August 2013

42With the Gelding still enjoying his well earned break in Hawaii, our guest tipster Paul Dalligan turns his mind to selecting some more winners for the Sportzfan Radio punt drunks.

This week he goes head to head with the Sydney Colt as Paul centres his attention on Warwick Farm. Paul says his best bet of the day is in Race 8 Someday – the fastest thing out of Brisbane since Wendell Sailor!

Warwick Farm

Race 6 Horse 14 – Streama (for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Race 8 Horse 15 – Someday (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Paul suggests a quinella in the 8th race coupling Someday with Horse 2 Norzita.

He also suggests a dollar or two each way on the Victorian provincial meeting at Donald in race 7 horse 5 Danish Rock.

We’ll talk with Paul tomorrow on Sportzfan Radio about his selections.

Good luck and good punting!!

Sportzfan Radio show #227.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!20 November 2011 227.1 – An almost empty studio today with only the Professor and Sportzfan Stan behind the microphone with the Gelding playing golf and Daniel Eade at a wedding (his own?). Sportzfan Stan is convinced cricket is doomed to failure because tests matches take too long and no young people are taking up cricket. He then gives the Professor his views on cricket and in particular the poor performance of wicketkeeper Brad Haddin and says he should retire gracefully. He also believes Ricky Ponting is a ‘has been’ and hands out a few sackings to the Test team. In the absence of the Gelding, the Professor talks racing and the results of the selections from Moonee Valley and the Sydney Colt’s tips for Warwick Farm. It wasn’t a good day for the Gelding or the ladies at the Tennis club but the Sydney Colt was a hit with one from one. Mark Fiorenti comes on to talk soccer with the Panel especially Sepp Blatter’s unfortunate comments about racism in sport and soccer. The Professor says it is particularly poor given the reach soccer has across the world. Mark then discusses the Socceroos performance against Thailand and thinks we should be worried about the form being displayed by the National team.  He only rates the current chances of qualifying for the World Cup at 60-70%.

Sportzfan Radio #192.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!3 March 2011 192.1 – Sportzfan Stan has a problem that the benefits the AFL players are going to get under a new collective bargaining agreement will be better than our military personnel who risk their lives on a daily basis. He is not happy with it. Paul Dalligan provides a bottom to top assessment of the 2011 NRL season….Cronulla Sharks to finish on the bottom – Melbourne Storm to be top of the table  and beat St George in the Grand Final.  The Professor takes an opportunity to talk with Glenn Day from the Great Western Hotel, the sponsor of the show. He thinks Hawthorn will finish in the top four and that Buddy Franklin will kick 100 goals for the season. The Gelding talks about his great day at Flemington, tipping four firsts and a third from five selections.  He tells us he finished ‘about even’. Ha! Although the Gelding is a big fan of jockey, Brett Prebble, he awards him an S-Hit ride for his performance on Playing God. The Gelding also reviews the Sydney Colt’s selections at Warwick Farm.  The Professor takes Mark Fiorenti to task about his prediction skills after saying last week that Adelaide would beat Gold Coast 2-0.  He also discusses the Central Coast’s dour win against Gold Coast to get into the A League Grand Final.
