Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm 14 July 2012

Last week’s results leaves us with a 2012 profit of $1400. Looking to lift our game this week. I’m happy with the mail but detest betting at Warwick Farm during winter. The plus is that the rain has mainly stayed away this week. Remember to bet BOBs with Luxbet and Betstar. Centrebet have removed their BOBs option – BOO!!!

Race 1 n2 HENDRICUS $140 win BOBs Nothing like starting the day with a Nash ride. This neddy was given no hope last start, is up to its pet distance and is third up. All guns blazing on this one.

Race 2 n4 TURNLEY $100 place (best of 3 totes with corporates) A good judge was impressed how this one beat older horses at its first attempt. Great place value.

Race 3 n3 MISS SPOKEN $80 place (best of 3 totes with corporates) Had no hope last start and will get the run of the race here. At time of posting it is $16 with the corporate bookies. Value.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill Saturday 7 July 2012

Some rain around today after a wet Friday night. Winter is not a good recipe for backing winners. Last week we took a step backwards and our 2012 profit is at $1543. Have had a long morning ringing around the traps and annoying people for a leg up. Only 1 “interest” bet today.

Race 2 n3 NIKODY $25 win (BOBs) $118 place (best of 3 totes with corporates). This odd betting amount will help balance the account 🙂 This neddy will not mind mud pies for lunch.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill Saturday 30 June 2012

Our profit for 2012 sits at +$1803 following a $120 loss last week when our $5.5 pick was beaten in a photo. We are hoping to get our money early today and then sit back with a beer or twenty. Only 1 more sleep until the air we breathe is taxed!

Race 1 n3 KNIGHT EXEMPLAR $160 win (BOBs). Promising 2yo who won a trial in very exciting fashion. Looks a good horse and hopefully can knock off the fav trained by premiership leader Chris Waller.

Race 2 n3 HENDRICUS $100 win (BOBs). Do not look for this neddy until late where it will finish strongly. Has improved its own weight since it was gelded.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 23 June 2012

The Gelding’s attention remains at Flemington with a great day of racing assured.  The Gelding also has one eye on Royal Ascot and Sportzfan Radio’s own Black Caviar that he has picked as a ‘special’ for the ladies at the Tennis club.

As always the bets are on an each way and all up basis.

Flemington

Race 4 Horse 5 – Rushworth

Race 5 Horse 10 – There’s Only One (for the ladies at ther Tennis club)

Race 7 Horse 9 – Johannapine (also for the ladies at ther Tennis club)

Race 8 Horse 3 – Turner Bayou

You can hear the Gelding discuss racing with the Professor every Sunday on Sportzfan Radio at 12.30pm on 88.3 Southern FM.  Special guest on tomorrow’s show will be the Sydney Colt! The Gelding’s segment is sponsored by the Great Western Hotel.

Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm Saturday 23 June 2012

Nice to catch up with the Professor while I was in Mleb during the week. I will be making a cameo on tomorrow’s show at 12.30pm. Last week we made a modest profit lifting our 2012 progress to a profit of +$1923. Not a great day to bet today but we have found 1 race worth a cautious flutter. If you are not betting BOBS (best of the best) with Luxbet or Betstar you are a mug!

Race 1 n 4 HEADLESS $70 win (BOBs) and n9 AGULHAS $50 win (BOBs). There are 1 or 2 other hopes in this race but these 2 have impressed at recent trials. Headless has experience and is back from Bris. Agulhas may well prove the best horse coming out of the race. Slight query on barrier and is a first starter for the Snowden yard.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill & Eagle Farm 9 June 2012

Yes, yes, yes. Last week gave us 3 consecutive weeks of getting the chocolates for Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere. Our winner gave us a profit on the day of +$315 and giving us a 2012 profit of +$1463. Today sees a lack of mail in Sydney and we will go quietly however we have been given the word on a neddy at Eagle Farm, who on ratings, is through the roof. Remember to bet with Centrebet, Luxbet or Betstar. Otherwise you are throwing money away!

Rosehill Race 1 n5 Target In Sight $150 place (the corporate bookies will give us the best of the 3 totes). This is a first starter who has trialled moderately but the mail says it has improved a mile with its gallops. A modest and safe bet.

Eagle Farm Race 2 n4 SOLZHENITSYN $200 win (BOBs) This neddy won at WFA last start and that run will top it off for this. I’m told it is a must bet on ratings alone.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Fam Saturday 2 June 2012

Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere who followed the mail last week were rewarded with a profit of +$248 which brings our 2012 profit to +$1148. Thanks to my mates and several twitter followers who sent messages. As winter has arrived we will have many weeks without a bet. Remember at the start of the year we promised a profit. Can any other tipster do that? Just 1 bet today. It is short in the markets but we will gain some value by betting BOBs with Centrebet, Luxbet or Betstar.

Race 1 n6 NECHITA Invest $350 on this neddy who has caught the attention of all the smart judges at Randwick. Has also performed extremely well in an official barrier trial. Diamond Earth will put the pace on for us and we will be storming home. Join the pro punters and bet up on this neddy (BOBs!!!).

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill Saturday 26 May 2012

Last week Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere got the chocolates when Pampelonne did the right thing for us at Scone. We won $250 bringing our 2012 total to +$900. Similarly today at Rosehill there is a race where 1 of 2 nags should be winning. Hence we will bet accordingly and see if we can lift profits above the $1k barrier. Remember to bet BOBs with Centrebet, Luxbet or Betstar.

Race 2 n2 KABAYAN $220 win and also n 7 DESTRUCTION $130 win. Kabayan ran some great times in winning at Wyong and made a few pro punters sit up and rub their hands in glee waiting for a city appearance. Also has the Gai factor! Destruction is 1st up but reports of the trials it has contested make it a “must bet”.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio show #247.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!20 May 2012 247.1 – Featuring the Professor, Daniel Eade and Sportzfan Stan. Sportzfan Stan starts with a rant about AFL clubs now looking at employing full time medical teams and asks where will the money come from to cover that cost. Special guest Nick Tedeschi talks NRL and this week’s State of Origin match in Melbourne. Nick says he thinks Ricky Stuart and Bob Fulton have lost their minds selecting the NSW side which he rates as “the worst NSW team ever”. The Professor takes the Gelding’s place talking racing and trys to explain his poor choices yesterday at Flemington. The Sydney Colt is $900 in front for the year after yesterday’s pick, Pampelonne saluted. Daniel talks NBL and the train wreck that is the Melbourne Tigers with coach Trevor Gleeson being stood down. He also discusses the Tigers new logo and the rumor that another NBL side may go into voluntary administration.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Scone 19 May 2012

A curse on the ATC for programming Saturday racing outside the metro area for the 2nd time in the past month! Don’t these boffins realise that Saturday racing is a religion for punt drunks everywhere? Anyway last week we donked off $80 of our profits leaving us with a healthy +$650 for 2012. Today we look to recoup the lost $80. Remember all bets are ‘BOBs’ with Luxbet, Betstar or Centrebet.

Scone, Race 7 n 1 PAMPELONNE $250 win and n 11 COLORADO CLAIRE $100 win. One of these 2 should be winning. Pampelonne will be up on the pace with a soft run and is entitled to be a short priced fav. Colorado Claire is coming off a sensational group 2 win. A good sized outlay for a modest but highly likely return for Sydney Colt groupies.
