Sydney Colt’s mail For Rosehill 10 Sept 2011

Every man and his dog wants to tip me something today. I have mail for 7 races but will keep it to 5 which is more than ample to satisfy the punt drunks amongst us.

Race 1 n9 TAVARNELLE Having 1st start but made trial watchers checking their clocks in a recent trial.

Race 2 n3 AKINOSHIRABE e/w This neddy looked good 2 starts ago but pulled up lame explaining its poor last start showing. We can secure an e/w price owing to its last run.

Race 3 n12 STATE GRADE Our VIC cousins know this neddy. Up today for this race. Has G Boss and up in distance – all +++

Race 4 n6 OFCOURSEICAN e/w A very good fresh horse and is 1st up here. Has an excellent barrier and been working very well.

Race 5 n2 SMART MISSILE Is this neddy a superstar? I think it potentially is and I have taken $2.1 fixed odds with BETCHOICE for half my stake and the other half goes on BOB (best of best) with LUXBET. This will give me the best of 3 totes or best bookies fluc whichever is the better price.

If you are still betting with your state TAB you are a fair dinkum idiot!

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm 3 Sept

Last week we had a huge fill up with 3 wins and 1 place from 5 tips with the best paying $6.4. So we went from baked beans 2 weeks ago to lobster and scampi last week. Not as much mail about this week and I hate that the meeting has been moved from Randwick to ‘The Farm’. Please don’t waste cash at the TAB. Only bet with the Corporate bookies if you have any respect for money.

Race 1 n4 SIENNA RED Not much value here but all the maps have this neddy up front with a lack of true pace. Definitely worth a bet for punt drunks.

Race 4 n8 OBSEQUIOUS Is 1st up and always runs a top race fresh. Has no weight and the corporate bookies let the Sydney Colt’s groupies on at $5.5 yesterday.

Race 8 n14 SECRET ADMIRER Even Stevie Wonder could see how impressive this neddy was 1st up. I’m told it comes in great on ratings and has no weight. Follow this one through the Spring carnival.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 27 August

The bookies may have got the cash last week but the confidence to bounce back is sky high with some good mail around for today with a mix of favs and e/w value awaiting.

Race 1 n9 EMERALD DOWNS e/w The mail around this morning says this neddy is ready to run a race 1st up. The fav PHENOMENAL LASS will be hard to run down but I’m happy to bet e/w on our pick.

Race 2 n6 JUST THE TONIC 2 sources have told me how impressive this neddy has been on the track since running great sectionals winning.

Race 5 n2 SMART MISSILE I usually leave it to the Gelding to tip the really short priced horses to keep the win/bet ratio up but this is an exceptional animal who has been training the house down and should be backed at any odds. The only horse to ever finish in front of Sepoy. Oh, and don’t back it e/w 🙂

Race 6 n5 HUME e/w Poor ride in Bris last start and has blinkers and Munce on to help.

Race 7 n7 GYBE e/w Freshened up since winning 3 on the trot and G Boss should be able to give it a soft run just behind the pace.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm Today

I hope you followed the mail last week and like me had a huge fill up with 3 winners all at black figures. If only every week was like that. A heavy track at ‘The Farm’ today has me a little cautious. I’m content to have just the one bet today and make it either a baked beans or lobster dinner.

Race 7 n1 ELITE FALLS Based on ratings this neddy is the best bet along the eastern seaboard today. Has a ton of class on this lot and has trialled super. I’m playing up 50% of last week’s winnings on this.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill Sat 13 Aug

Have been out Rosehill way this morning. Some interesting mail abounds. Confidence level today is sky high. Make Foxwedge your biggest and best bet.

Race 2 n1 FORETELLER We were on this at $6+ when it won impressively 2 weeks ago. I am told it has thrived since. Very short in betting however.

Race 4 n2 SWEETEST MELODY Won when resuming and keen judges said it had plenty of improvement in it.

Race 5 n2 FOXWEDGE I will be loading up on this neddy. Has won brilliantly 1st up previously and has trialled super. Also happens to be the best horse in the race. $2.3 available this morning with the corporate bookies. I’m salivating!

Race 6 n10 SEE THE WORLD e/w Just a little something on this neddy e/w. It has a light weight and is very fit. Double figure odds still available.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Randwick 6 August 2011

I hope you jumped on our $6.2 winner Foreteller last Saturday. Having bet on just 3 races, we more than doubled our total outlay. I usually try and limit our runners but there is a heap of mail about for tomorrow’s meeting so why not climb aboard the money train.

Race 2 n6 GLIDING e/w The Bart Cummings yard has improved this neddy since its first run. Looks a lovely e/w bet for the punt drunks

Race 4 n2 ESSENCE OF SUCCESS The Sydney Colt’s groupies will be jumping for joy to learn that Gai and Nash combine with the best rated horse in Sydney tomorrow. That’s all we need to know.

Race 5 n8 CHIVVY e/w John Hawkes was looking to keep this one quiet but some of us took the early $6.0 being offered. Strong stable support for this one.

Race 7 n6 WHISPEROSA Definitely ‘D’ day for this neddy. Absolutely butchered last week and had little luck the start before that. We have been aboard this neddy both of its last 2 starts and hopefully we can strike back tomorrow.

Race 8 n8 CRAFTY IRNA e/w Could not believe the corporate bookies opened this at $13. That price has gone but plenty of e/w value still available.

IF YOU RESPECT MONEY BET WITH THE CORPORATE BOOKIES NOT THE TAB

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio 31 July 2011 #212.2

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!31 July 2011 212.2 – Mark Fiorenti continues talking about the draw for World Cup 2014. He thinks the group with Spain and France in is the ‘Group of Death’. There is a discusson of Dean Bailey’s tenure as coach at the Melbourne FC and whether he should be sacked or not. This is followed by Glenn Hampson talking about whether the AFL are getting bang for their buck from the signings of Karmichael Hunt & Israel Folau. Sportzfan Stan says their is no loyalty for clubs these days, just players going for the money. The Panel talk with Paul Dalligan about NRL players involvement in AFL and his duties serving champagne at his lovelies baby shower. He also talks Melbourne Storm’s shackle tackle. Paul also discusses the NRL round in depth. The Gelding calls in to talk horse racing and the results from Caulfield. The Professor talks about using Daniel’s method of selecting horses and picked Mr Griswold for a nice collect.  The Gelding even awards an S-hit ride to Keiran McEvoy for his ride on Scarf that upset his all up bet. He also saw Danish Rock’s jump out and says the horse was a bit green and reminded him of a lawyer going to his first conference – all over the place. Glenn finishes off with a discussion on the controversy about Australian cricket contracts. Sportzfan Stan again calls for the sacking of the Australian selectors.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 30 July 2011

The sun has been out all week in Sydney giving us punt drunks the chance to find a winner. Going a little wide in the market in a few races as the ratings indicate a day of value.

Race 1 I’m backing both n4 WHISPEROSA and n5 VALDHEZ Betting “best of the best” with either Betchoice or Luxbet will hopefully see us return around 6/4 for the total investment. These 2 stand out on form lines.

Race 4 n6 MISS SHAMARDAL e/w Took $13 yesterday with the corporate bookies. Comes in very well on ratings and has drawn a nice marble.

Race 6 n5 FORETELLER e/w This neddy has trialled sensationally. I’m all over it e/w.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail On World Series Of Poker

The past week has seen the main event of the world series of poker being played at the Rio in Las Vegas. It started with a record field of 6,865 hopefuls who payed $US10,000 for the opportunity of being crowned “world Champion”. Of course there is also the lure of a 1st prize of $8.7M.

The field has played down to the final 9 players who will return in November, a concept that only started 2 years ago. The final field is known everywhere as “the November 9”.  Life changing money is at stake here where the first 8 players will each walk away with $1M+.

Soccer is known as the “world game” but surely if you regard poker as a sport then it must rank 2nd behind soccer. The November 9 is representative of the US, Ireland, England, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Belize (by way of Lebanon) and Germany.

So, who should us confirmed punt drunks bet on? Well, this year it is a little easier than in past years. “Why”, you ask? Well, ESPN for the 1st time had continual live coverage of the event. The Sydney Colt either watched it all live or taped it during work hours and caught up later. Hence, the form is well exposed. Not since 2003 has the chip leaders been such well known professionals. They are in form and have the chip stacks to force the pace or to back up any misreads. Courtesy of Betchoice below is the current market for the November 9 with their chip stacks in brackets.

4.50 Martin Staszko (40,175,000)
5.00 Eoghan O’Dea (33,925,000)
6.00 Ben Lamb (20,875,000)
6.50 Matt Giannetti (24,750,000)
6.50 Phil Collins (23,875,000)
9.00 Badih Bounahra (19,700,000)
10.00 Pius Heinz (16,425,000)
12.00 Anton Makievskyi (13,825,000)
17.00 Sam Holden (12,375,000)

I am backing both the Czech, Martin Staszko and the popular Irishman, Eoghan O’Dea whose father was once the leading European player. I will have 60% of my stake on Staszko and 40% on O’Dea. I am gambling against the American Ben Lamb who continues to firm in the betting. Lamb is the only player amongst the November 9 who has won a bracelet at this years world series. To my eye he attempts to force the pace too often and he hardly has enough chips to combat a bad read. At $6.0 he is under the odds needed. For keen poker followers you will also appreciate that Staszko has “position” on him ie Lamb is to the right of Staszko. Position in poker is vital.

God bless ESPN and God give strength to Messrs Staszko and O’Dea.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 16 July 2011

The mail is very light this week. Those I have spoken to with professional insight are mainly staying out tomorrow. The track will be a winter wet slow or heavy. Just the one bet each way. Hence, it’s either a lobster dinner or a can of baked beans.

Race 1 n4 HOT FOX e/w This neddy has won its last 2 races, with both being on heavy tracks. It will sit up on the pace which will be an advantage early in the day. Hence, dive in early at the each way, collect and sit back with a beer or twenty. Don’t forget to invest with the corporate bookies not the TAB!

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
