The Professor’s and the Gelding’s red hot racing tips for Derby day at Flemington on 31 October 2020

The Professor and the Gelding are in good form after last week’s tips and are looking to improve on that form today at Flemington on Derby day. Plenty of good horses in four Group One races. The track is rated a Good 4 at present with the rail in the true position.

The Professor and the Gelding are tipping at different venues today. The Professor doesn’t like the continuous overnight rain and the effect it may have on the Moonee Valley track whilst the Gelding is ignoring the rain because ‘it’s Cox Plate day’.

At Moonee Valley the rail is in the true position and the track is currently rated a Slow 6 but that rating could deteriorate with more rain during today. The rail is out 4 metres for the entire circuit at Randwick with the track rated a Good 4.

Red hot Caulfield Cup tips from the Professor and the Gelding and the Professor’s Parlay

Not the nicest of days for the Caulfield Cup with heavy rain overnight and more showers expected during the day. That may make it difficult to tip a winner but that has never discouraged the Professor and the Gelding from scanning the fields for the best bets. The track is currently rated a Soft 6 but with further rain during the day the track may deteriorate. The rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.
