Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 24 September

I hope you joined the fill up last week when we had 2 tips for 2 wins, with both being black figure odds. Only limited mail today but with full pockets from last week Sydney Colt groupies can join the punt drunks as we are flying high with confidence.

Race 3 n2 FLIGHT OF PEGASUS Would seem to have plenty on this field and pro punters have already jumped all over this neddy.

Race 4 n4 SHADOW WEST Those in the know tell me the last start win by this neddy was full of merit and they are keen to snatch an attractive price.

Race 6 n3 SECRET ADMIRER 2 pro punters and our ace trackman have told me they will be backing SECRET ADMIRER and having a ‘saver’ bet on FAST CLIP. Who am I to argue?

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 17 Sept 2011

A perfect spring day in Sydney today and all the Sydney Colt groupies know how much I love a dry track. It does look a day of favs which should have alarm bells ringing for punt drunks. The secret is to allow the pro punters, trackmen and ratings expert do the hard yards for us. Out tips today come from weeding through their best advice.

Race 3 n3 STRIKE THE STARS Very well placed coming back from WFA. The increase in distance is a definite plus. Has been wowing them on the track.

Race 4 n1 TRUSTING Never been one of my fav horses but it looks to sit on the pace here and will have the best sprint to finish off the race. Best in race on ratings and has been working great.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 10 September 2011

The Gelding’s attention turns to Moonee Valley today with the weather looking most unkind. Take care with the selections as the weather may play a part in who wins and who loses today.

As always the selections are on an each way and all up basis.

Race 4 Horse 3 – Rue Maple
Race 6 Horse 8 – Kulgrinda (for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Race 8 Horse 9 – King’s Rose

Sydney Colt’s mail For Rosehill 10 Sept 2011

Every man and his dog wants to tip me something today. I have mail for 7 races but will keep it to 5 which is more than ample to satisfy the punt drunks amongst us.

Race 1 n9 TAVARNELLE Having 1st start but made trial watchers checking their clocks in a recent trial.

Race 2 n3 AKINOSHIRABE e/w This neddy looked good 2 starts ago but pulled up lame explaining its poor last start showing. We can secure an e/w price owing to its last run.

Race 3 n12 STATE GRADE Our VIC cousins know this neddy. Up today for this race. Has G Boss and up in distance – all +++

Race 4 n6 OFCOURSEICAN e/w A very good fresh horse and is 1st up here. Has an excellent barrier and been working very well.

Race 5 n2 SMART MISSILE Is this neddy a superstar? I think it potentially is and I have taken $2.1 fixed odds with BETCHOICE for half my stake and the other half goes on BOB (best of best) with LUXBET. This will give me the best of 3 totes or best bookies fluc whichever is the better price.

If you are still betting with your state TAB you are a fair dinkum idiot!

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio show #216.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!28 August 2011 216.1 – The Professor is back behind the microphone with Daniel Eade and Brett. Dan Butterly comes on to talk US sport with the College football season about to start next week. He is keen to see how the Mountain West Conference teams go. He also talks NBA, NFL and MLB. The Gelding is away on holidays in Hawaii so the Gambler calls in to talk horse racing and defend his selections for yesterday’s race meeting at Caulfield. Mark Fiorenti talks soccer and previews the Socceroos World Cup tie against Thailand on Friday.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm 3 Sept

Last week we had a huge fill up with 3 wins and 1 place from 5 tips with the best paying $6.4. So we went from baked beans 2 weeks ago to lobster and scampi last week. Not as much mail about this week and I hate that the meeting has been moved from Randwick to ‘The Farm’. Please don’t waste cash at the TAB. Only bet with the Corporate bookies if you have any respect for money.

Race 1 n4 SIENNA RED Not much value here but all the maps have this neddy up front with a lack of true pace. Definitely worth a bet for punt drunks.

Race 4 n8 OBSEQUIOUS Is 1st up and always runs a top race fresh. Has no weight and the corporate bookies let the Sydney Colt’s groupies on at $5.5 yesterday.

Race 8 n14 SECRET ADMIRER Even Stevie Wonder could see how impressive this neddy was 1st up. I’m told it comes in great on ratings and has no weight. Follow this one through the Spring carnival.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

The Gambler’s tips for 27 August 2011

With the Gelding off sunning himself on the beaches in Hawaii, our guest tipster ‘the Gambler’, has set himself to try and out tip the Gelding at Caulfield today. Unlike the Gelding, a few of the Gambler’s tips have some odds to them.

Caulfield

Race 2 Horse 8 – La Praline
Race 3 Horse 13 – Little Tycoon
Race 4 Horse 11 – Metonymy (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 6 Horse 1 – Heart of Dreams (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 7 Horse 6 – Acorns

Rock on,

The Gambler

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 27 August

The bookies may have got the cash last week but the confidence to bounce back is sky high with some good mail around for today with a mix of favs and e/w value awaiting.

Race 1 n9 EMERALD DOWNS e/w The mail around this morning says this neddy is ready to run a race 1st up. The fav PHENOMENAL LASS will be hard to run down but I’m happy to bet e/w on our pick.

Race 2 n6 JUST THE TONIC 2 sources have told me how impressive this neddy has been on the track since running great sectionals winning.

Race 5 n2 SMART MISSILE I usually leave it to the Gelding to tip the really short priced horses to keep the win/bet ratio up but this is an exceptional animal who has been training the house down and should be backed at any odds. The only horse to ever finish in front of Sepoy. Oh, and don’t back it e/w 🙂

Race 6 n5 HUME e/w Poor ride in Bris last start and has blinkers and Munce on to help.

Race 7 n7 GYBE e/w Freshened up since winning 3 on the trot and G Boss should be able to give it a soft run just behind the pace.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Danish Rock stop press

The first race at Echuca has been run and won.

1st Heeza Bonza, 2nd Danish Rock, 3rd Spirit of Choice.  Danish Rock was beaten by about five lengths but fought on well for second, kicking again in the straight to fight off the challenge from Spirit of Choice.

A wonderful start to what, is hopefully, a long and successful racing career!!

Paid $2.40 the place on the TAB.
