Professor’s red hotties for Cox Plate Day at Moonee Valley on 27 October 2018

It’s all systems go for the Professor at today’s Cox Plate Day races at Moonee Valley. Winx running in the feature race selects herself but the rest of the selections needed a bit of hard work and research. A small field in the Cox Plate will suit the favourite who should go on to win it for a record breaking fourth time.

With the Spring Carnival in full swing the Professor is looking to make it a successful day on the punt at Caulfield today. The overnight rain will have softened the track so the runners in the later races may be affected.

A great day for racing and with the football season over, the Professor will now have more time to spend on selecting his weekly tips. Hopefully that means an improvement in picking the winners! The Flemington track is rated a good 4 at present but with all this sunshine that may improve to a good 3 by the start of the first race.

The Professor will be reserving his tips for the ladies at the Tennis club until tomorrow’s Caulfield races, but in the meantime he has these valued selections for today’s meeting at Randwick where the track is rated as a good 4 and the rail 3 metres out from the true position.
