The good horses are returning to the track in preparation for the Spring Carnival. With the wind gusting today, the track may dry out and be upgraded so punters should ensure they steer clear of horses who like a bit of give in the track. The Flemington track is currently rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true psoition.

The Professor and the Gelding had mixed fortunes last week with a win and placing from four selections. They’ll be striving to do better than that today on Memsie Stakes day at Caulfield where the track is rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position.

The Professor and the Gelding had a ‘place’ return last week getting three of the four selections up for placings. At least there was some return for each way punters. They are looking to improve on that today at Caulfield where the track is rated a Good 4 with the rail out 8 metres for the entire circuit.
