Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm 17 December 2011

Last Saturday gave us a small profit with 1 winner from 2 bets. The mail is not strong today but we’ll do our best to extract a few dollars from the corporate bookies with some e/w value bets.

Race 4 n5 SHAWNEE GIRL e/w Is well placed on best form and e/w seems a great way to finish ahead.

Race 5 n3 RAREFIED Well found in the market but does look better than the opposition. My only concern is damn Warwick Farm. I dislike Saturday meetings here.

Race 6 n10 FIBRILLATION e/w I am already on at $12.0 with the corporate bookies. Has been well backed by those who realised how well placed it is on ratings.

Race 8 n11 JACKPOT QUEEN e/w Could not believe they posted $8.0 early about this neddy. Good fresh horse who is well placed against this lot.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio show #230.2

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!11 December 2011 230.2 – Mark continues talking soccer and Melbourne Heart’s recent good form. He doesn’t think Brisbane Roar are in crisis after two losses in a row but they may have peaked too early. In the Premier League he has had to re-evaluate Arsenal’s form and thinks he’ll have to eat humble pie about his early season prediction. He doesn’t think they’ll beat Manchester City this week though. Mark was up early to watch the Real Madrid/Barcelona match and says it sets the stage for an interesting finish to the La Liga season. Dr Leslie’s CSA on before the Gelding this week. The Gelding talks horse racing and before he looks at how his selections and the Sydney Colt’s fared, Sportzfan Stan wants to discuss the arsenic doping case with him. Sportzfan Stan is pleased when the Professor advises the Ladies from the Tennis Club have also invited him to their Christmas function. The Gelding tells the Panel that Danish Rock is in pre-training for a February 2012 campaign. Daniel talks MLB and the Milwaukee Brewers’ Ryan Braun testing positive for a performance enhancing drug and facing a 50 game suspension. Paul Dalligan has a brief look at tennis and says Aussie youth tennis stocks seem to be improving. The Professor and Paul discuss what is happening in rugby league and Manly have their first five games away from home. They also talk about Will Hopoate leaving on a two year mission for the Mormons and Paul Gallen winning back to back Harry Sunderland medals. Daniel finishes with a look at the NBL and the Age publishing the Melbourne Tigers beat the Cairns Taipans but in fact, the Taipans won. He thinks the Tigers may struggle to make the playoffs now with five teams fighting for two spots.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 10 December

Xmas has come early this year with bookies set to pay for the Xmas ham and seafood delights. The mail is VERY strong.

Race 1 n2 BELLO Big opinion expressed by someone “in the know”!

Race 5 n3 SCARF Picks itself. Poor field and this one is destined for Dubai

Wednesday – Keep an eye out for the Joe Pride trained Let’s Rock ‘n Roll. Scratched today and will run and win on Wednesday

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 3 December 2011

The Gelding is back at his home track at Caulfield today and is confident that his selections will provide some winners for the Sportzfan Radio punters. He will need to be good as his running mate, the Sydney Colt, has been in outstanding form over the last two weeks.

The Gelding suggests you also take the Colt’s tips in a multi with his own for what would provide an early Christmas bonus.

As always the bets are on an each way and all up basis.

Caulfield

Race 1 Horse 4 – Starchine
Race 3 Horse 7 – Elusive King
Race 4 Horse 3 – Our Pride and Joy (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 6 Horse 1 – Catapulted (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 8 Horse 2 – Shadow Fax

You can hear the Gelding discuss racing with the Professor every Sunday on Sportzfan Radio at 12.30pm on 88.3 Southern FM.  The Gelding’s segment is sponsored by the Great Western Hotel.

Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 3 December 2011

Winner winner lobster dinner! 2 weeks ago 1 tip for 1 winner. Last week 2 tips for 2 winners including We Betcha paying $10.20 win and $4.10 place with the corporate bookies. Were you on or were you asleep at the wheel? Not too much mail around for today but will be happy to snare a winner from 2 of gai’s runners.

Race 2 n6 SINDARIN Our ratings man said I would be a mug not to tip this to the Sydney Colt groupies. Has about 2kg on the field based on ratings and Snowden has it ready.

Race 5 n4 MISS MARX Won first up last preparation at this course and distance. Is a good ‘fresh’ horse and I’m told has trialled well.

Race 6 n1 KING LIONHEART Similar to MISS MARX this neddy also won first up last preparation at this course and distance. This is a group horse with a ton of class and tenacity.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Canterbury Tomorrow 26 November

We got the lot last weekend with some firsthand mail from the track. Put me in a good mood to catch up with the Professor and Gelding during my week in sunny Melbourne. Thank you boys the company was sensational as was the feed of lobster and accompanying red.

Many thanks also to the great people at the Great Western Hotel. There is no better watering hole in Melbourne.

Can somebody tell me why some crown patrons bet on the $5 roulette wheel with both 0 and 00 while the table next to them has a single 0 and pays the same odds? I had to check to see if the cameras were rolling and the whole charade was a candid camera show. Unbloody believable!!

Canterbury Race 1 n5 DON’T BLINK I think this neddy can knock off LYRIC who is the odds on fav. DON’T BLINK has been going great guns at the track after 2 nice trial wins. An impressive animal up close.

Race 8 n14 WE BETCHA e/w This neddy has a few good ones to get past but my mail says Chris Waller will have this cherry wipe to make a late charge. A good fresh horse.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio show #227.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!20 November 2011 227.1 – An almost empty studio today with only the Professor and Sportzfan Stan behind the microphone with the Gelding playing golf and Daniel Eade at a wedding (his own?). Sportzfan Stan is convinced cricket is doomed to failure because tests matches take too long and no young people are taking up cricket. He then gives the Professor his views on cricket and in particular the poor performance of wicketkeeper Brad Haddin and says he should retire gracefully. He also believes Ricky Ponting is a ‘has been’ and hands out a few sackings to the Test team. In the absence of the Gelding, the Professor talks racing and the results of the selections from Moonee Valley and the Sydney Colt’s tips for Warwick Farm. It wasn’t a good day for the Gelding or the ladies at the Tennis club but the Sydney Colt was a hit with one from one. Mark Fiorenti comes on to talk soccer with the Panel especially Sepp Blatter’s unfortunate comments about racism in sport and soccer. The Professor says it is particularly poor given the reach soccer has across the world. Mark then discusses the Socceroos performance against Thailand and thinks we should be worried about the form being displayed by the National team.  He only rates the current chances of qualifying for the World Cup at 60-70%.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm Tomorrow 19 November 2011

I have been enjoying the Saturday morning trackwork where an ear to the ground can prove the difference between a winning and losing day.  Have been hearing the right people giving a huge rap to one of Gai’s 2 year olds. Will be making it a standout and our sole selection at the Farm tomorrow.

Race 1 n6 NO LOOKING BACK A lot of talk at the track about this neddy trained by Gai. There is only one thing to do and that is to load up and shove.

I’m heading to Melb on Sunday for a week and hope to catch up with the Professor during the coming week.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill Tomorrow 12 November 2011

Last week I mentioned I was heading to early morning trackwork. Well, in advance of tomorrow I picked up mail for 2 of Gai’s and I will be on both “best of the best” with the corporate bookies. For those who have been asleep at the wheel, “best of the best” offers you the best dividend out of the 3 state TABs or the best fluc at the track. All you need do is put your money on up to 40 mins before the race. Both Luxbet and Centrebet offer “best of the best”. Anyway, I’ll be back at trackwork in the morning. Get on Gai’s pair tomorrow.

Race 1 n7 KUCHINSKAYA

Race 6 n7 EMBARASSED

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Randwick Tomorrow 5 Nov 2011

Off to early morning trackwork tomorrow so getting some early mail posted for my groupies and fellow punt drunks.

Randwick

Race 2 n5 SHADOW LINE e/w Well in on ratings and not a hard race. Nice each way bet to get us going.

Race 3 n5 DRIEFONTEIN The pros tell me that going on trial form this is easy money. Jump on!

Race 7 n8 YURRAPENDI e/w Cummings horse with potential. I jumped on at $21 e/w. Will have a saver tomorrow on BOUND TO BLUSH who has been very impressive.

Race 8 n3 ROSIE’S REWARD (will have 70% of my stake on this neddy) and n11 TONK (will have 30% of my stake on this one). Between them they should control the tempo up front.

Flemington

I am told by a ratings nut that I must back two horses in Race 4 who equally have a break on this field and they are both $6.0+. So, I’ll be splitting my bet 50/50 on n1 AMAH ROCK and n2 MAHISARA

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
