If you’ve been asleep at the wheel you wouldn’t have noticed Gai is in the midst of a purple patch at the moment in both Syd & Melb. JULIENAS is now rock hard fit and is up in distance. It has been working strongly on the track. Nash should have this one leading all the way. Have a saver bet on I’M IMPOSSING.who is also reaching peak fitness and is destined for a great Spring campaign.

Last week Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere had a fill up with 2 winners from 3 picks including our best of the day. Good weather and good horses are a recipe for success. The past few months have seen profits the best they have been in the past 5 years. If you are not a winning punter in 2013 you surely have been asleep at the wheel!!

Race 2 n3 ARABIAN GOLD Hoping to knock off the hot fav here. This neddy had impressive form before a spell and has trialled brilliantly in preparation for this.

Race 6 n3 SIZZLING Again we are hopeful of knocking off the fav BOBAN who won well 1st up. SIZZLING has all the favours with the weights and had to run against the bias last start.

Melb Race 7 n9 POLITENESS I don’t like stretching over the border into Gelding’s domain but it worked for us last week with a winner. I must pass on the strong tip for this neddy who has been killing them in weaker provincial company.

There is a bit of added pressure to make a profit today as it is wedding anniversary day and the old grey mare has her heart set on a lobster dinner with roses and champagne. The mail is NOT strong today so bet cautiously.

Race 1 n4 HOSTING Up from Melb and last start sectionals and ratings all point to this neddy.

race 8 n 10 IM IMPOSSING e/w Even Stevie Wonder saw the excellent run of this neddy last start. It surprised the stable how quickly it has come on after a long break. Each way seems a bet to nothing.

I’m getting mail from Gai’s yard that we should all be having a punt in Melb today on Race 6 n3 FIORENTE. If Gelding tips it we’ll have it as our best of the day!

Spring has sprung and the track is perfect as is the Sydney weather. We are still getting psychological counselling after the jockey was fast asleep aboard our hot tip last week. Never mind, the money was lost but our confidence remains high after a couple of good months. Looks a good day for a fill up! I’m hoping Gelding in Melb picks r3 n3 KEEP COOL as I have a little mail for it. Will be near lead with little pace in the race.

Race 1 n7 SPURTONIC Has an advantage on ratings here and will likely lead. Will be very hard to run down. The best of the day.

Race 7 n2 VEYRON This neddy’s last run was no flash in the pan. Another who will be on or near the bunny. In form horse who is drawn for perfect run.

There is bugger all mail for Rosehill today where the races are very competitive. As the Gelding is away I thought I would dip my toe into the Melb scene where I have come across enormous mail about one in the 1st race.

Caulfield Race 1 n 1 SPIRIT OF HEAVEN The mail about this neddy this morning is huge. It is black odds at present but I doubt it will last. It had no luck whatsoever last start, is a big improver and has found an easy race. I’m on big time!

In the absence of Gelding I see Dalligan is having a throw at the stumps in Sydney. Of his selections STREAMA should run 1st or 2nd and give the ladies at the tennis club good value for their buck. Meanwhile SOMEDAY is as good a chance of winning as me taking out the next Mr Universe title! The mail in Sydney today is not overly strong but it won’t stop Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere having a go.

Race 3 n3 NO LOOKING BACK The mail gives this an enormous chance of beating the hot fav. It will be leading while the fav has to give up 5kg and a decent start.

Race 5 n3 VILANOVA I’m told this neddy has improved out of sight since running without luck in the Bris carnival. This is not a hard race to win.
