Sydney Colt’s LAST Mail Post For My Groupies and Punt Drunks Everywhere

With great sadness this is my final post for Sportzfan. I have given my commitment to a mate to assist him on Saturdays. It has been a fun ride and I hope I have steered you into a winner or 2. Last week we made a profit of +$130 which brought our 2012 profit to +$1266

Race 1 n2 STRAWBERRY BOY $250 win (BOBs) This is no fancy price but it will lead and win.

I would like to wish all the very best to the Professor, Gelding and Sportzfan presenters. Best regards to the loyal Sydney Colt groupies and Punt Drunks everywhere. Never forget our punting motto. Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Daniel’s tips for 8 September 2012

With the Gelding enjoying the sun, on the Sportzfanradio budget, in beautiful Hawaii as he prepares to give a motivational speech to the University of Hawaii before their Mountain West Conference College Football game against Lamar, I have taken the reins to prove/show just how easy it is to be an “expert” tipster.

The action on Saturday heats up at Flemington, a track where a “good fourth” means absolutely nothing, despite what the Gelding might often preach.

Race 1, Number 16 (Each Way): Young Girl

Race 2, Number 7 (Each Way): Awesome Bro

Race 4, Number 4 (Win): Lady Melksham (for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Race 5, Number 4 (Win): Stralia

Race 6, Number 11 (Each Way): Southern Speed (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

You can hear the Gelding discuss racing with the Professor nearly every Sunday on Sportzfan Radio at 12.30pm on 88.3 Southern FM. The Gelding’s segment is sponsored by the Great Western Hotel.

Good luck and good punting,

The Professor

Sydney Colt’s Rosehill Mail For 1st Day of Spring

This is racing’s best time of the year for a punt. God bless Spring, dry tracks and good horses. Last week, to the joy of punt drunks and Sydney Colt groupies, the mail was spot on with both bets giving a combined profit of +$477 and a 2012 profit of +$1136.

Race 1 n10 WESTCHESTER $50 win (BOBs). Up in grade but well placed at the weights and improving.

Race 2 n4 PROISIR $150 win (BOBs). Every man and his dog knows about the sectionals this neddy ran when winning in a canter. I will dead set cry if our mate NORZITA beats us after we plunged last start only to see it butchered by the jockey.

Race 3 n8 PRINCE PEDRO $50 win (BOBs). Back sharply in distance will allow this neddy to settle and finish the race off at a nice price.

Race 6 n10 GLENCADAM GOLD $50 win (BOBs). Gai is aiming this neddy at the Melbourne Cup. Would want to be winning this before they waste nomination fees!

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sportzfan Radio show #261.1

@SportzfanRadio now available on iTunes!26 August 2012 261.1 – The Professor and Paul Gamble kick off the program with Sportzfan Stan still out of the side injured. They start the program looking at the parlous state of rugby union with the Wallabies failing to trouble the scorer for the first time in fifty years against the All Blacks. They consider that Robbie Deans tenure must be on shaky ground. Dan Butterly comes on to talk US sport and looks at the Lance Armstrong decision not to contest the USADA charges, the start of the college football season and also the start of the NFL season. The Gelding talks racing and reviews the results from yesterday’s Moonee Valley and Warwick Farm meetings.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm Saturday 25 August 2012

Where do we start today. There are so many good horses back and ready to run. The wrap on NECHITA who is the shortest fav of the day, is absolutely enormous. The dogs have been barking the Moody horses MOMENT OF CHANGE for the past 2-3 weeks! Hence the $3.0 bet by the Corporates was knocked off pretty quickly. Our 2012 record reveals a +$659 profit.

Race 3 n4 MOMENT OF CHANGE $180 win BOBs. Gets 4+kgs off the only dangers in the race. Expect this neddy to be too nippy for them.

Race 7 n10 NECHITA $350 win BOBs. The boom on this is so loud they would hear it in Afghanistan! Its win stamped it as well above average and has trialed like a potential superstar.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 25 August 2012

The Gelding’s attention this Saturday is on Moonee Valley with a view to topping up the funds in order to make a big run at the coming Spring racing season.

As always the bets are on an all up and each way basis.

Moonee Valley

Race 5 Horse 4 – Awesome Bro

Race 6 Horse 1 – Atomic Force (for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Race 7 Horse 10 – Excluded (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

You can hear the Gelding discuss racing with the Professor every Sunday on Sportzfan Radio at 12.30pm on 88.3 Southern FM. The Gelding’s segment is sponsored by the Great Western Hotel.

Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt’s (lack of) Mail For Rosehill 18 August 2012

I’m still getting over the shock riding tactics aboard our neddy Norzita last week. With BOBs we hit the bookies at $2.7 and watched it firm to $1.90. You are lucky to see that once a year. Oh how I wish the nightmares would stop! Then our 2nd bet goes around and wins with a leg in the air (as expected) but the best we got was a lousy $1.40.

On paper I thought today threw up a few “must be backed” prospects however on ringing around this morning the mail is confusing. I think we are best served staying out today and keeping our powder dry for next Saturday.

If you are a punt drunk and must indulge I did hear in Melb r4 n10 Agueda did trial extremely well in Sydney before heading south. It is $15 in the betting and may be worth a small e/w bet.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm 11 August 2012

Winter racing is taking its toll on punt drunks and Sydney Colt groupies. Last week our straight out bet ran 2nd while our place bet ran 4th. Bugger! Never mind while we lost a good chunk of our bankroll we are still winning $734 for 2012. Our confidence is still running high despite money lost. I’m happy to splurge on the strength of the mail today. Looking to the future I am already hearing some news about a few 2yo horses who will debut for the Waterhouse and O’Shea yards in early Spring.

Race 1 n2 NORZITA $175 win (BOBs) This neddy is on the way up. Impressive last time and I’m told has improved on the track since.

Race 3 n2 SHE’S A FOX $250 win (BOBs) Sydney Colt groupies won on this neddy last run when its sectionals were sensational. Has already been backed for a fortune in early markets so our return will not be too flash.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
