Race 1 n7 BERNABEU Last week I starting hearing about the huge raps from Randwick about this neddy. The mail is so strong it may well challenge for favouritism. Pity we have to guess whether it can handle the going.

Race 4 n2 VATUVEI No guessing with this bloke as it has a perfect record on heavy tracks and has been knocking on the door. Today looks the day!

Sydney Colt groupies will know from following these posts that I detest Saturday racing being held at provincial tracks. I wasn’t even going to look at the fields but then I got a tip from Randwick for one of Gai’s runners. When this happens you have to sit up and take notice.

Race 3 n3 NORTHERN GLORY e/w I am told Gai has it primed and ready for a 1st up tilt. I grabbed $7 e/w on Thursday. I have no great confidence as I do not like betting at provincial tracks but e/w seems a safe way of protecting our bankroll.

I have been watching the betting on Flemington race 1 n11 MISS STEELE where since Wednesday to now (Friday night) it has firmed from $7.0 to $3.4. It will be interesting to see if champion Melbourne tipster Gelding has it among his selections.

Sydney Race 3 n1 ANEVAY There is mail around to say this first up specialist is again ready to perform. Has great toe out of the barriers and we hope to see an all the way win.

Adelaide Race 7 n1 MOMENT OF CHANGE If ratings mean anything this neddy has heaps on its rivals. Has been backed from Wednesday to now as if unbeatable. The bet of the day but you wont get the $3.50 on offer Wed.

Brisbane Race 7 n 2 RAIN AFFAIR and n10 SEA SIREN. Back both level stakes as they are around $6 each. Rain Affair got within 0.8 lengths of All Too Hard last start and it would be odds on in this field. Must include Sea Siren as everyone at Randwick says it has been working the place down.

Race 4 n9 ITS A DUNDEEL Why does everyone want to knock this one today? Forget the 3yo form history of this race as this neddy is one out of the box. Can sprint and stay!

Race 5 n3 FAST ‘N’ ROCKING e/w Looks a great bet e/w and has been crying out for a longer trip. Barrier 1 is a ++

Race 6 n4 KELINNI Ran 4th in Melb Cup so do I need to say any more? Is in form and this is a weak Sydney Cup.

Race 7 n6 MORE JOYOUS The 1400m is ideal for this class mare. With race fitness on her side. I have doubts All Too Hard can give it a head start and a beating.
