31 October 2010 177.1 – Paul Gamble hosts this weeks show – can he fill the Professor’s shoes? The Gelding is brought onto the Panel at the last moment as the race meeting at Kilmore that Queen Asa was running in was washed out. Daniel observes that Gambler is dressed more suitably than the Professor was last week – “He was dressed like a 16 year old thug – an American football jumper with his hat on backwards!”. Even though the Professor had a week off, he was still on the phone talking the AFL draw, the Spring Carnival as Kelly Osbourne or Scary Spice wouldn’t add to his enjoyment of the races – they’re going because it is a party. He tells Daniel he hadn’t spoken to the VRC to arrange a million dollar appearance fee for him at the Cup and he wants to know when Southern FM are going to have their own celebrity tent at the Spring carnival. The future of cricket is a worry due to poor participation rates and probably of more concern, they are falling. The Gelding talks Derby day races and sums up the Flemington meeting. By the end of the meeting, the track was heavily affected by rain. So You Think had a comfortable win in the conditions and now has five Group 1 wins. The Sydney Colt’s tip, Skilled did not perform as expected even though he thought it would win.
Sydney Colt’s Mail For Randwick 6 November
Those who stayed solid on Melb Cup day were rewarded with 2 winners from 2 races in Syd and 1 win from 2 in Melb. The prices for today’s mail will not be big but wise betting with Corporate bookies will return a profit.
Race 2 n5 CYCLONE STACEY I’m informed it has trialled exceptionally well.
Race 3 n3 MR EDISON About the fittest horse racing at Randwick today. Will be in the finish for sure.
Race 4 n1 UPON THIS ROCK Has been a star at trackwork and will race on the pace. Will be in this for a long way.
Race 5 n4 ZACHARY This is the strongest mail horse today. The blinkers are going on, wet will assist and up to 1600m is its go. Don’t miss out on backing it.
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
Gelding’s tips for 6 November 2010
The Gelding’s attention tomorrow is still on Flemington with the final day of the Cup Carnival. With the weather looking to be fine, the roses will be in full bloom and the horses should be running true to form.

Gelding’s tips for Melbourne Cup day at Flemington
There is only one place for the Gelding’s attention tomorrow and that is VRC headquarters which sees the 150th running of the Melbourne Cup.
Hopefully the rain will stay away and the punters can enjoy some wonderful racing with the quality horses that will be running.
As always the tips are on an each way and all up basis.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For 30 October
Today we have a real GOOD THING at Flemington to bet on. This is such a certainty I’m not going to muddy the waters with other lesser mail. Hope you joined me for a fill up last week. Our only losing race was owing to the neddy having a bleeding attack and now banned from racing in Aus.
Flemington R1 n1 SKILLED I am told by the pros this neddy could not possibly have won last start when it competed in a speed dual. Hence, a jockey change today is a ++. With an uninterrupted preparation SKILLED would have been one of the favs for the Caulfield Guineas and is a ratings certainty here. On Thursday and Friday I placed 4 individual bets for a pro punter at $3.2, $3.1, $3.0 and $2.9. It is now shorter than that. WILL WIN!!!
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
The Gelding’s tips for Flemington 30 October 2010
The Gelding’s attention turns to VRC headquarters this week for the Cup Carnival. Unfortunately, it looks like being a bit wet overnight and tomorrow so punters make sure you take note of weather conditions and the horses that like the wet track.
As always the tips are on an each way and all up basis.
Flemington
Race 2 Horse 8 – Moudre
Race 5 Horse 6 – So You think (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 6 Horse 1 – Retrieve
Race 7 Horse 2 – Typhoon Tracey (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)
The Gelding’s horse Queen Asa is also running at Kilmore in Race 4 on Sunday.
Good luck and good punting!

Sydney Colt's Mail For Rosehill & MV 23 Oct
If you don’t punt today you don’t know how to enjoy yourself. I think we can be devouring lobster for dinner tonight with a couple of winners as told to me by 2 pro punters and a ratings expert.
ROSEHIL
Race 1 n2 KARUTA QUEEN Won its only start and had plenty of improvement left. Start the day with a winner!
Race 5 n2 KANZAN e/w Is one of the better rated horses at Rosehill today and is great e/w value.
Race 6 n2 ROTHESAY No surprise here as every man and his dog is tipping this neddy. This galloper has a ton of class on this ordinary field.
MOONEE VALLEY
Race 6 n7 REKINDLED INTEREST Those who know racing far better than me say, its great run in the Caulfield Guineas is superior form for this lot.
Race 7 n2 PRECEDENCE Some astute pro punters have jumped in early to back this neddy. I’m following their lead.
Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
The Gelding's tips for Moonee Valley on 23 October 2010
The Gelding’s attention this week is on the Cox Plate meeting at Moonee Valley where he hopes the overnight rain has not affected the track too much.
Interesting to see if So You Think is the horse we all think it is.
As always the bets are on an all up and each way basis.
Moonee Valley
Race 3 Horse 5 – Multahem
Race 4 Horse 12 – Firebolt
Race 5 Horse 6 – Black Caviar (for the girls at the Tennis club)
Race 7 Horse 2 – Precedence

Sportzfan Radio #175.2
17 October 2010 175.2 – Dr Leslie comes on and cleans up after the Gelding’s weather forecast and racing segment – stool gazing indeed! The Professor explains that the Sydney Colt was unable to be on the show this week due to an illness and increases the intrigue when he passes on that the Colt and Stan have never been on the same show together – like Clark Kent and Superman. The Panel welcomes Nicole Chvastek back to the show. Mark Fiorenti discusses the creativity and passion of A-League soccer and the Newcastle Jets gaining more funding under Nathan Tinkler. There is also discussion of the ever increasing debts of Manchester United and Liverpool and the foreign ownership of EPL clubs. Nicole talks about the interest or lack thereof in the Commonwealth Games and the many countries/athletes not competing at the Games, Daniel says it was good to hear that Australia picked up a late gold medal in the ‘Throwing the washing machine out the window’ event. Nicole observed “Well done those Aussies”. Nicole also discussed the legitimacy of naming AFL players even though they had not been charged with an offence. Paul Dalligan talks with the Panel about the Rugby League Four Nations tournament with the marquee match between Australia and England at AAMI stadium. He thinks that the first game between Australia and Papua/New Guinea is like the Aussies playing the Wesley College Old Boys. In a heads up, Paul has heard Jonathan Thurstons may be heading to the Parramatta Eels. The Panel finish off with a discussion of Australian cricket and Ricky Ponting. Is Shane Warne too old to come back? Finally, Daniel asks the Professor which number comes after 248. Strangely it is 250, as apparently Daryl Corletto played his 250th game after his 248th.
