Sydney Colt 21 April 2012

Last week we got the cash big time. If you read my comments for our 1 and only bet Pierro and didn’t back it, you are a mug punter and there is no hope you will ever win on the punt! Our win brings the 2012 profit to +$612

The track at Randwick today is heavy which is always a danger. I have worked my fingers to the bone ringing around to find a secure bet. Alas, the pro punters and trackmen are very wary about today’s meeting. Hence, no bets today. We remain on a charter to give you a profit in 2012.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Derby Day at Royal Randwick

Last week we took a step backward and are left with a 2012 profit of +$62. Great racing today and we will be having one bet and taking on an odds on fav.

Race 5 n1 PIERRO $250 win BOBs (Centrebet, Luxbet or Betstar). This neddy has won everything against the best in Australia. Silver Slipper, Golden Slipper and more. Unbeaten and this will continue today. My mail says it has not gone backwards and in fact has actually thrived since the Slipper win. Should be fav. This will win for Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Golden Slipper Day At Rosehill

Wow, what a day. The weather is fantastic and 5 group 1 races today at Rosehill. Last week we gave back some of our profits and Sydney Colt groupies and punt drunks everywhere are left with a healthy 2012 balance of +$242.

Race 4 n 10 STRAWBERRY BOY $180 win (BOBs with Centrebet, Betstar or Luxbet). The mail from 2 sources says this neddy has been working the house down. The likely leader and Nash should control the race. Cannot see a reason to back anything else today.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 31 March 2012

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 31 March 2012

Congratulations to the Sportzfan crew with the fantastic win last night of their great neddy Danish Rock. As far as I was concerned the race was never in doubt and approaching the turn I joined the payout line. I will be on air with the boys this Sunday to join the celebration.

Well, Sydney Colt groupies who stuck solid last Satuday were rewarded with 3/3 winning bets and a profit on the day of +$572 which gives us a 2012 progress of +$442.

Just the 1 bet today. Race 1 n 9 KYRIA who is currently $9.0 fixed odds with Betchoice. This neddy has a determined finish and has shined on the track since its last start. So, bet $60 win (BOBs with Centrebet, Luxbet or Betstar) and $140 place (best of 3 totes).

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Gelding’s tips for 24 March 2012

The Gelding’s attention is on his home track of Caulfield today. Punters should check track conditions this morning before placing their bets as overnight rain may have affected the rating.

Caulfield

Race 2 Horse 1 – Assertive Eagle (for the ladies at the Tennis club)
Race 3 Horse 8 – Bolisimo Miss
Race 4 Horse 4 – Star of Giselle
Race 5 Horse 5 – Luck San (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Rosehill 24 March 2012

Wow, what a sensational day of racing. Group racing, is there anything better? Our 2012 progress currently stands at -$130 however we have some great mail today and anticipate a profit. We have 3 bets today. Remember ALL bets are to be placed with either Centrebet, Luxbet or Betstar who offer superior returns for those who bet in advance.

Race 1 n2 PIERRO $180 win (BOBs) This neddy put in a sensational run to win first up and my mail says the improvement on the track has been excellent.

Race 3 n3 HUSSOUSA $80 win (BOBs) $100 place (Centrebet, Luxbet and Betstar all offer best of the 3 state totes for place). Beating the Melb champ Samaready is a tall order but this girl has been burning up the track since they added blinkers. Cannot let it run without something going on.

Race 5 n14 MORE JOYOUS $160 win (BOBs) Don’t really need to explain picking this superior mare. Has been doing a treat in preparation for this including a trial win.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

A “Good” Heart these days is hard to find

Melbourne Heart FC secured its first ever spot in the Hyundai A-League finals after a 2-2 draw against Sydney FC last Saturday night.

The Heart will finish fifth or sixth in the home and away series (which concludes this weekend) and will travel to Perth or Wellington next weekend in a winner takes all elimination final.

The team has enjoyed a successful campaign this season, registering key wins over reigning champions, Brisbane Roar and ladder leading Central Coast Mariners to loom as a potential dark horse for the title.

Sportzfan Radio congratulates the team on being Victoria’s sole representative in the A-League finals.….

…..Moreover, (drum roll please), it has the honour of interviewing central defender, Curtis Good on this Sunday’s show (25 March)!!

A former Australian Institute of Sport captain, Curtis Good signed for the Heart in February 2011.  Good made his official debut for the club during the round 1 fixture against Newcastle Jets in the current 2011-12 campaign and has been an ever-present at the heart of the team’s defence ever since.  Possessing good leadership abilities, fantastic technical skills and a great sense of reading the game, Curtis Good is a name to look out for in years to come.

Tune in to this Sunday’s show to hear about Good’s thoughts on the Heart’s (successful) season, the feeling amongst the club about being in the finals for the first time, the philosophies head coach, John Van’t Schip has brought to the club (no, not just his impressive tan!) and much, much more.
