Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm Saturday 25 August 2012

Where do we start today. There are so many good horses back and ready to run. The wrap on NECHITA who is the shortest fav of the day, is absolutely enormous. The dogs have been barking the Moody horses MOMENT OF CHANGE for the past 2-3 weeks! Hence the $3.0 bet by the Corporates was knocked off pretty quickly. Our 2012 record reveals a +$659 profit.

Race 3 n4 MOMENT OF CHANGE $180 win BOBs. Gets 4+kgs off the only dangers in the race. Expect this neddy to be too nippy for them.

Race 7 n10 NECHITA $350 win BOBs. The boom on this is so loud they would hear it in Afghanistan! Its win stamped it as well above average and has trialed like a potential superstar.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s (lack of) Mail For Rosehill 18 August 2012

I’m still getting over the shock riding tactics aboard our neddy Norzita last week. With BOBs we hit the bookies at $2.7 and watched it firm to $1.90. You are lucky to see that once a year. Oh how I wish the nightmares would stop! Then our 2nd bet goes around and wins with a leg in the air (as expected) but the best we got was a lousy $1.40.

On paper I thought today threw up a few “must be backed” prospects however on ringing around this morning the mail is confusing. I think we are best served staying out today and keeping our powder dry for next Saturday.

If you are a punt drunk and must indulge I did hear in Melb r4 n10 Agueda did trial extremely well in Sydney before heading south. It is $15 in the betting and may be worth a small e/w bet.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.

Sydney Colt’s Mail For Warwick Farm 11 August 2012

Winter racing is taking its toll on punt drunks and Sydney Colt groupies. Last week our straight out bet ran 2nd while our place bet ran 4th. Bugger! Never mind while we lost a good chunk of our bankroll we are still winning $734 for 2012. Our confidence is still running high despite money lost. I’m happy to splurge on the strength of the mail today. Looking to the future I am already hearing some news about a few 2yo horses who will debut for the Waterhouse and O’Shea yards in early Spring.

Race 1 n2 NORZITA $175 win (BOBs) This neddy is on the way up. Impressive last time and I’m told has improved on the track since.

Race 3 n2 SHE’S A FOX $250 win (BOBs) Sydney Colt groupies won on this neddy last run when its sectionals were sensational. Has already been backed for a fortune in early markets so our return will not be too flash.

Money lost, nothing lost. Confidence lost, everything lost.
