Professor’s red hotties for Flemington and Randwick races on 16 February 2019

The Professor had some difficulty last week with technology so the tips weren’t posted as usual. Lucky for punters that they missed out as the selections were ‘duds’. Hopefully, with technology fixed, today’s tips will salute.

The Flemington track is rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position while Royal Randwick is also rated a Good 4 with the rail 3 metres out for the entire circuit.

Flemington

Race 8 Horse 10 – Sunlight (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Randwick

Race 2 Horse 1 – Nothing Like Harry (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Professor’s red hot tips for Caulfield races on 2 February 2019

The horse racing limelight has been stolen this week by the story swirling around Darren Weir which has led to him being charged by Racing Victoria stewards with six offences under the rules of racing. His horses have been scratched from races pending a show cause hearing expected to be on Monday.

The races go on though and today’s metropolitan meeting is at Caulfield with the track rated a Good 4 with the rail is out 9 metres.

Race 7 Horse 4 – Written By (also for the ladies at the Tennis club)

Professor’s red hot tips for Caulfield races on 26 January 2019

Aside from enjoying some lamb cutlets on Australia Day, the Professor has spent more time this week on selecting his specials for today. In a break with long standing tradition, he has decided to only provide his two best bets of the day, rather than the usual five selections. A case of less hopefully being more.

The track is rated a Good 4 with the rail three metres out from the true position.

In what looks like a tough day at the races, the Professor has tried to come up with some selections that have a reasonable chance of saluting. The Flemington track is rated as a Good 4 with the rail out 9 metres

Professor’s red hot tips for Flemington and Gold Coast races on 12 January 2019

The less said about last week’s outing at Caulfield the better! The Professor will try and put that one behind him and look forward to today’s racing at Flemington and the Magic Millions at the Gold Coast. The Flemington track is rated a Good 4 but with the fine weather could dry out as the day goes on. The rail is 6 metres out from the true position. At the Gold Coast the track is also rated a Good 4 with the rail 1.5 metres out from the 1000 metre to the 400 metre mark but otherwise in the true position.

Professor’s red hotties for Caulfield races on 5 January 2019

After a fast start at Flemington on New Year’s Day, the wheels fell off with the last three selections. As the Gelding would say ‘that’s racing’. Today’s race meeting at Caulfield gives the Professor the chance of redemption. The track at present is a good 4 but that may change if the anticipated rains come. The rail is in the true position.

Professor’s red hot tips for Flemington races on 1 January 2019

A Happy New Year to everyone from the crew at Sportzfan Radio. After two winners and a placing from Moonee Valley on Saturday, the Professor is looking to start the New Year off with a big day at Flemington today. The track is rated as a good 4 but will be firm underfoot with the warm weather. The rail is three metres out from the true position.

Professor’s red hotties for Moonee Valley, Randwick and Doomben races on 29 December 2018

Given these are the final Sportzfan Radio selections for 2018, the Professor is looking to go out on a high note. Moonee Valley is currently rated a good 4 with the rail in the true position. I doubt any rain will affect the track rating. At Randwick, the track is also a good 4 with the rail out 6 metres and at Doomben the track is a good 4 with the rail one metre out.

Professor’s red hot tips for Flemington and Warwick Farm races on 22 December 2018

After a few winners and placings last week, the Professor is looking to improve on that form today. The Flemington course is currently rated as a slow 5 and with more rain the track could deteriorate. The Warwick Farm track is a heavy 8 but the weather there is predicted to be fine.

Also the last chance for the ladies at the Tennis club to make money for their Christmas party!

Professor’s red hotties for Flemington and Randwick races on 15 December 2018

After snagging a couple of winners last week including an $8+ winner in the get out stakes at Pakenham, the Professor is looking to improve on his form today. Given the amount of rain over the last few days, the Flemington track could be rated as ‘soft’ with the rail 10 metres out from the true position. At Randwick, the rail is in the true position and should also be a ‘soft’ track.
